Your flue liner keeps heat and combustion gases away from the wood and masonry of your home. When it cracks or goes missing, the chimney isn't safe to use. We install and reline chimneys across Dallas and Fort Worth with code-compliant stainless steel and cast-in-place liners.

The liner is the sealed passage inside your chimney that carries smoke, heat and combustion gases up and out. It does three jobs at once: it shields the surrounding brick and framing from intense heat, it protects the masonry from acidic byproducts that eat mortar, and it gives the fire a correctly sized channel so it drafts properly.
Most older chimneys were lined with clay tile. Clay is durable but brittle, and decades of heat cycling, chimney fires and moisture eventually crack it. Once tiles crack or shift, the gaps let heat and gases reach the very materials the liner is supposed to protect.
That's why a failed liner isn't optional to fix. Relining restores a safe, code-compliant path for the fire, usually with a stainless steel liner sized to your fireplace or appliance.
The right liner depends on your fuel type and the condition of the chimney. We recommend the one that fits, not the one that's easiest to install.

Liner damage hides inside the flue, but it shows up in how the fireplace behaves. If any of these sound familiar, stop using the fireplace and book an inspection.

A sound liner is the barrier between the fire and your house. When it cracks, heat can reach adjacent framing and combustion gases, including carbon monoxide, can leak into living space. The Chimney Safety Institute of America and NFPA 211 both treat a properly sized, intact liner as essential to safe operation. Relining restores that barrier so you can burn with confidence, and it's often required before a home sale or by insurers.
